THE MILK MEN, renowned across the nation for their exhilarating live shows and contemporary, clenched ‘n’ sinewy interpretations of classic blues-rock sounds, have announced their latest, and fifth, album, “Holy Cow!”
The debut single from the album, titled “One Man Band“, together with an accompanying music video, (see below) establishes what promises to be an outstanding *milestone album event* in an impressive music career that began with Full Phat in 2016, and has produced many other memorable moments.
The Milk Men are: Adam Norsworthy on guitar, Jamie Smy on vocals, Lloyd Green on bass guitar, and Mike Roberts on drums.
Guitarist and co-producer, Adam says: “This album is leaner, tougher, and more dynamic than any we have made before… but still dripping with hooks and some great lyrics. It’s very much what we do… just better than ever!”
Jamie adds, “I see this album as having a number of core themes which could all be bracketed under ‘the blues’ in terms of subject matter, if not musically. ‘Holy Cow’ is far rawer than our other albums with less overdubs and less backing vocals, but still packed with hooks, melody, and attitude. It’s the closest we’ve got to The Milk Men live experience in the studio.”
“One Man Band” has a classic thumping blues-revved rhythm, with jangly-flexy guitar shapes, and a very cobbly, hardpacked vocal… oh, what a treat!
