MORS PRINCIPIUM EST have ruled the scene for more than twenty years and know exactly how to deliver melodic death metal matched with Finnish melancholy.
Their combination of progressive rock delivered with melodically memorable structures, balanced between complex instrumentals, and chapleted by Ville Viljanan’s harsh vocals, is a translunary experience.
Their forthcoming album, due 8th April 2022, titled “Liberate the Unborn Inhumanity” was recorded by the band in the Ansa studios and guitarist Jori Haukio’s home. The mix was completed by Thomas Plec Johannsson (Mayhem, Sorcerer) in the Panic Room studio, in Sweden.

For the album, vocalist Ville brought together the original line-up, guitar players and co-founders Jori Haukio and Jarko Kokkoo, as well as their bass player Teemu Heinola.
Together with new drummer Marko Tommila (Depressed Mode) the new-old line-up irradiates the luminary intensity of an unfeigned band, delivering art yielded without capitulation.
Liberate the Unborn Inhumanity features a finest collection of their first three albums “Inhumanity“ (2003), “The Unborn“ (2005) and “Liberation = Termination“ (2007) plus the second demo “Valley of Sacrifice“ (2001).
The tracks were entirely re-recorded, mixed & mastered. As the first single (video shared below) demonstrates, the direction is straightaway evident: No gimcrackery, no weasel, no contrivance, and certainly no experimentation. Just double riff punches, powerhouse dynamism, and sublime enormity!
If you’re a fan of blackbody rock with layers of melodic sub-candela absorption, solemn auras, and brittlestar emanations, wow, this collection’s for you!
