Sony Music has announced that the soundtrack to “Entourage” — the big-screen version of the cutting-edge HBO show — will be released June 15th.
The HBO series was well-known for its musical intelligence — and this has been seamlessly maintained in the movie and on the companion soundtrack.
“Entourage” creator Doug Ellin, who wrote, directed and produced the film, teamed up once again with music supervisor Scott Vener, whose musical selections played an important part in the TV series.
“Music has always been an integral part of ‘Entourage’ and the movie is no different…” said Ellin.
“The music itself, like the boys and like Los Angeles — is another character that we hope the audience falls in love with.”
The release will include 14 Tracks from artists including Royal Blood, Jane’s Addiction, Diplo & DJ Snake, Pharrell Williams, Mobb Deep feat. Big Noyd , Tha Dogg Pound, Allison Taylor and Tame Impala.
