San Diego based minimalist rock ‘n’ blues band LITTLE HURRICANE consists of guitarist/frontman Anthony “Tone” Catalano and drummer Celeste “C.C.” Spina.
They can be conveniently described as the “new White Stripes…”
The pair have now disclosed an impressive video for their mellow number “OTL” [see below ] and directed by Jordan Albertsen — taken from their forthcoming album “Same Sun Same Moon” out this April via Mascot Records/Mascot Label Group.
Their new recording makes a nod to predecessors Homewrecker (2011) and Gold Fever (2014) while also taking a stalwart change of course.
The twelve songs on the new disc retain the righteous intuition found in previous works — but the freshly married duo also explore refreshing new tones and take pleasure in creating novel forms of strong deliverance.
As CC explained,“OTL is a song that is particularly meaningful to us and we wanted a video to capture the intensity we felt when we wrote the song...”
“We thought it was important to juxtapose the intimate lyrics with darker imagery […] we felt able to translate our idea into a story line that is both heartfelt and tragic all at once...”
