This week the fabulous BEAUX GRIS GRIS & THE APOCALYPSE have announced their 3rd studio album, “Hot Nostalgia Radio” with the release of the first single from the recording, “Satisfy Your Queen”.
The California roots-rockers have been busily gaining popularity in the UK and across Europe thanks to their remarkable + distinctive live performances and their critically praised, idiosyncratically juxtapositional compositions.
Their music starts outsized and gets boisterously and incrementally bigger!

Now, with a 14-track CD that embraces and honours traditional songwriting —yet crosses genres at breakneck speeds— Beaux Gris Gris once again reveal their fluctuating multicharacter reference-points.
We thought the band’s last album was a hot zeal of sound with vocals: “chillier than a plexiglass moon, nuanced guitar that perfectly matched the flickering keys, bass giggles, and rhythm grins.”
And “Satisfy Your Queen” features a super-considerable chorus, a framework of lyrical guitar, and an old-school rock n’ roll foundation. Their music starts outsized and gets boisterously and incrementally bigger!
Front woman Greta Valenti explains: “We’ve had over 4 years to write this album. The last album was recorded in 2019, pre-pandemic and then we had to sit on it for two years. I had over 100 songs ideas waiting to go, but I really wanted this album to represent classic simple songwriting that strikes a chord within your soul.”
Guitarist Robin Davey adds: “I think our approach harkens back to when bands like the Beatles would write a bunch of different style songs, be it country, or psychedelic, or whatever they did they would always sound like the Beatles”.
