Those Austrian (now Liverpool settled) folk beat-poppers The MONALISA TWINS with the Wagner sister singer-songwriting duo of Mona (rhythm guitar, percussion, harmonica, flute) and Lisa (lead guitar, ukulele, cello) have been busy playing their Beatleweek segments (virtually on the socials).
The numbers are, essentially, raw and stripped back duo versions of the many popular covers and originals (many Beatles favorites) that can be found on their current compilation recording titled “The Club Duo Sessions”.
Songs such as: “Baby’s In Black” (shared below) have a countrified twang and an eddying sense of percolated harmony.
The fingerpicked guitar on this is neat and the whole thing’s as trim as a new pair o’ kecks.
