LONELY ROBOT release their new album “Feelings Are Good” on July 17th, 2020, featuring the new single “Life Is A Sine Wave” (shared below.)
The project is masterminded by the Outhouse Studios producer, genius guitarist and talented singer/songwriter John Mitchell with occasional input from Craig Blundell (Steven Wilson) on drums, Steve Vantsis (Fish) on bass and Liam Holmes (Touchstone) on keys.
Their soundscapes fill with deceptive vortices, carmine-rhythm pebbles, and affirmative ear-geoglyphs, emblazoned by wavelength tones. The voices produce devout gleams and truly sustained inclinations.
“I wanted to explore more personal themes and the songs are very much about individual experiences and narratives that I believe had been the cornerstones, good and bad, to my life...” says John.
“Life Is A Sine Wave” has a grumbling beat, plink and jingle, bisecting lines of synth and a voice that is jubilantly vibrant (very reminiscent of Phil Collins). In fact, the entire piece sounds like an Abacab era excursion; so expect slow passages, reflective interludes, and richly arranged vocalizations.
