The unconventional collaborative adventure of Anthony West and Josephine Vander Gucht, also known as the London-based alt-pop duo OH WONDER have announced a new series of ‘Home Tapes’ along with a share of the first track from the outing, titled: ‘Lonely Star’ (shared below.)

February saw the pair release their 2nd Top 10 album, the thoroughly uplifting – ‘No One Else Can Wear Your Crown’ and they subsequently embarked on a momentous world tour to celebrate.
The tour started with a magnificent homecoming show at London’s Shepherds Bush Empire but was put on hold three days later when the world was put into lock-down.
They say: “In this unprecedented period of confusion and loneliness, we wanted to contribute to the world’s efforts to make sense of it all, in the only way we know how...”
“ We are taking it back to how we started this band and embarking on a new project called “Home Tapes” where we will seek to write, produce and mix songs at home to share with the world on a regular basis. In the absence of certainty, at least we will have music, and we hope that these songs provide some comfort, companionship and relief to those that need it.”
“Lonely Star” is blueish pearlized with a grouse of R&B rhythms and a cold ‘n’ timorous piano riff. The bony, diffident, metacarpal voices bobby-pin together for privacy and compliance. The lyrics summarize what we should all feel right now when looking at empty streets from our windows: “is there anybody out there?”
