Icelandic singer-songwriter ÁSGEIR creates pleasantly nuanced lines that are eloquently soulful and often crystal-sweet… and his music comes with unusual sound textures, idiosyncratic rhythms, and perfectionist tendencies.
He now shares a track titled ‘Pictures’ that’s taken from new album ‘Bury The Moon’ out 7th February via One Little Indian.
The new video (shared below) exemplifies the artist’s union with his country – whilst at the same time, it is cognitive of his inner contemplation.
Talking about the new track, the introvert artist has said: “The lyrics paint pictures of daily life, from when we wake up and go to work and how our dreams come alive in the night-time. It also depicts the importance of not thinking more of your country than other countries / or yourself over other people, and the importance of unity between people.”
