Stoke-on-Trent’s alternative rock outfit — PSYENCE — create atomic-tangerine blasts of bedazzlement and are fan favorites at the Shiiine On Festivals with their harmonizing, spinning orbitals, seductive phrasing and echo-chamber twanginess.

Now they announce the release of their long awaited debut album, due August 2019 and tease us with a track, “Cold Blooded Killer”. It’s a deep groove with oscillating momentum and the kind of twang-doodle that makes you go weak at the knees…
“Our debut album is an intense chemical reaction…” they say. “Of face-melting riffs and groove-laden tunes,” they say.
“It’s a product of many years toiling away in backroom venues and countless van-hours. It’s a working man’s release. Tune in. Drop out!”
In crafting the album, PSYENCE have re-worked many of their original recordings and live pets, to co-produce the album with local Sam Bloor and to enlist London based Santi Arribas (Gang of Four, Hotei) to mix & apply the final sonic polish. The result is a psyphoric outburst of happiness aimed squarely at the hearts of their many devoted fans.
PSYENCE were voted “Best Act” at the prestigious “Music Awards of Staffordshire & Cheshire” in 2017 and from this evidence you can see why.
