Chicago-born, Nashville-based singer and guitarist JD SIMO will release his debut solo album, Off at 11, due March 1st via Crows Feet. The first single is the bluesy “You Need Love.”
When we saw the artist perform his quality vintage blues in London we thought the fuzzy riffs reminded us of the early days of Derek and the Dominos… with gritted, soulful vocals — plus jazzy and bold guitar-work that consistently shone. The songwriter is now backed by drummer Adam Abrashoff and bassist Andraleia Buch.
“You Need Love” has a clappering beat, addictive riff-work and energetic vocals.
