The Melbourne-based 5 piece Aussie garage-rockers MONEY FOR ROPE have released a single titled ‘Actually’ taken from their ‘PICTURE US’ album due this Spring.
Entirely self-produced, mixed & mastered by the five piece — comprising of Jules McKenzie (guitars, vocals), Rick Parnaby (keyboards), Erik Scerba (drums), Chris Loftis (drums), Ted Dempsey (bass) — Picture Us was recorded over the course of a single summer in Victoria, Australia.

“Actually” is a determined thumper with a kinda whirly early “Talking Heads” type vibe going on. It incorporates a vibrant madness that is fascinating in its discordant twanginesss. It’s like taking a golden surf-rock record and squeezing it through a punk-art-funk colander. Intriguing.
