Manchester, England four-piece rock band FEDERAL CHARM are to release their much anticipated third studio album “Passenger” on Friday 14th September.

Paul Bowe (guitar) and LD Morawski (bass) recruited new vocalist and frontman Tom Guyer and also one of Manchester’s top drummers, Josh Zahler in 2016, following their co-headline tour with SIMO and Aaron Keylock.
The captivating and characteristic voice of Tom Guyer led to rock ‘n’ roll alchemy when he joined Paul and LD in the writing sessions for the third album.
“Passenger” was recorded, produced and mixed at Willow Terrace Studios in Manchester. Federal Charm co-produced the album with Manchester based audio engineer John Simms (Hidden Colour Audio) who has also engineered for Blossoms.

“John was really good to work with,” Paul Bowe says. “He’s highly technical, has a great set of ears and commands an invaluable ability to locate and add that missing ingredient to make a song stand out from the crowd.”
For “Passenger” the new line-up were keen to capture their familiar earthy sound, but also wanted to create a new sound platform for Guyer.
Thus, the band spent more time developing material, taking the songs to new territories in tone and strength. Bowe says: “It’s a heavier album. There was no way to tame the beast.”
“Choke” [track 2 from the album] is released as a 99p digital download on June 29th and is a song about a self-satisfied rich kid (we all know one, right?) It’s a bouncy, squelch bestrewn, blues-heavy number. The raw tension reaches a critical point midway and is accentuated by cracking, sputtering guitar licks and smooth bass notes. And, of course, the vocal intensity is inexhaustible.
The band’s co-headline UK tour with the Bad Flowers is timely, as the band will be able to preview material from “Passenger”. Bowe says, “The new album is a personal account of the band’s creative journey over those last 18 months.”
Fans who pre-order the album will receive the first single “Choke” as a digital free instant grat track. The album can be pre-ordered www.federalcharm.com/shop
