In the summer of 2016, the English band prog-rock YES traveled in the United States performing their tenth studio album Drama [1980] in its entirety, along with Sides 1 and 4 of Tales of the Topographic Oceans – the first YES album to top the UK charts (Gold) … as well as a choice selection of classic YES tracks.
YES are one of the most successful, influential and enduring progressive rock bands in the world. They have sold 13.5 million RIAA-certified albums in the United States. In 1985, they won a Grammy Award for Best Rock Instrumental Performance with “Cinema” and received five Grammy nominations between 1985 and 1992.
In April 2017, YES were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, which chose to specifically bestow the honour upon current and former members Anderson, Squire, Bruford, Kaye, Howe, Rick Wakeman, White and Rabin.
TOPOGRAPHIC DRAMA – LIVE ACROSS AMERICA is a live recording taken from a selection of American shows completed in 2016 and is set to be released 24th November as a double CD or Triple LP.
The sleeve for both formats is designed by Roger Dean.
YES — Steve Howe (guitars), Alan White (drums), Geoff Downes (keyboards), Billy Sherwood (bass) & Jon Davison (vocals) — will also set out on a 10-date UK Tour [dates below video] in celebration of their fiftieth anniversary in March 2018… when they’ll perform sides 1 and 4 and an excerpt from Side 3 of Tales From Topographic Oceans and some fan favourites.
The two dates in London will include an anniversary fan convention.
