With a rhythm that tenderly walks in the footsteps of fuzzy nostalgia, the second single taken from the upcoming HERO FISHER “Glue Moon” album and titled “Push the Boat Out” was shot by Fisher’s family — a blurred and perhaps chilling video featurette made from clips of the Hero days of childhood.
The whole piece is cinematographically sad, with a low smoky voice that cuts through the melancholic with unexpected zap.
And Fisher’s vocal interpretation, though contralto, expands through multiple layers of tone and consciousness with haunting majesty.
The British-born, French-raised and London-based artist has already collaborated with Alison Mosshart and Boy George in the Mark Ronson-scored ballet Carbon Life, and has opened for The Rolling Stones and Neil Young at Hyde Park.
In 204 she was shortlisted for the Glastonbury Emerging Talent Prize.
In 2015 she released her debut album, the critically-acclaimed “Delivery.”
‘Glue Moon’ is due in Spring 2018
